Today's featured book is Visionary of Peace by Cindy Borgne:
Ian Connors had planned to use his visions to spy on Marscorp in order
to maintain peace, but flashbacks and nightmares make it impossible.
Since two years of peace have passed due to a stalemate, Ian decides to
try and live a normal life, until one day he has a vision so horrifying
he has no choice but to become the seer he once was or Vallar will have
no future. While he struggles to regain his ability, the Marcs plot to
capture him alive in order to complete a deal for their return to Earth.
Comments: This book picks up where the first one left off and it really is a good idea to read the first one, Seer of Mars, so you can get a good idea of who Ian is and the situation on Mars and how he came to work for the Vallar group. It is a really interesting world the author has created on Mars and one that is largely based in reality--or near-reality.
You can buy it for $3.99 on Kindle or $12.34 in paperback!
You can find Cindy's blog at: http://dreamersperch.blogspot.com/
Like with some others, it's on my kindle, but I've not started reading yet. Have finished the first one so I know the story this far.
ReplyDeleteThat cover has a great retro look.
ReplyDeleteI have the first one but haven't read it yet.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd enjoy that book. It certainly sounds like there's a great deal of tension. This blog is so great that I'm going to share it on Facebook. Also, I wanted to mention, when you visited my blog yesterday, you asked about my prompts for sci-fi. :-) Well, at the top of each of my posts it does say to skim down to the genre you like, so I suppose not finding sci-fi there, you never made it to my last paragraph. Maybe I should put that last paragraph first? Anyway, the last paragraph invites readers (in a polite begging sort of way) to offer up ideas on the genres I didn't cover, such as sci-fi, fantasy, horror. So, I might have written that last paragraph with you mind. Hint-hint, I'd be honored if you would leave even a one-line sci-fi idea on my blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteBest,
