This is a post I did back in November, 2013, about "binge publishing" over on my blog Thinking The Lions. It got little notice then, but for some reason rocketed to number one on my most-viewed posts last week there. I thought it worthy of reposting here.
It is a piece of "advice" that is so misguided, unsupported by evidence, illogical and unwarranted I can't help but speculate that the real motivation of the author of the piece is not to help but to hinder.
